High school classmates Ethan and Reed fall in love in the 1950s. They have to work their way around Ethan's father, though. He's the homophobic minister of the only church in their rural village, and he somehow guesses what they're up to.

Ron Fritsch grew up on a farm in northern Illinois. He graduated from the University of Illinois and Harvard Law School. He lives in Chicago with his partner of many years, David Darling.
