Doctor Chuck goes for a hike up on to the mountain, before the season's end. He finds a woman on the edge of the trail. She is guarded by a wolf. He will not let him close to her for him to examine. A bear joins the mix to attack the woman. The wolf leave the saving of the woman to Chuck, while he deals with the bear. Chuck has to call back up to same the woman, and himself. Rescue teams arrive. The bear is taken down by darts. The wolf, and woman, are taken down the trail to be saved. The darts were removed from the bear, who then goes on a rampage to kill a man, and his cow. Mystical things happen, that should not have happened on the mountain.

The woman wakes in the hospital to beg for her son to be found. More teams go up the mountain to search for Josh, to find a Goddess, searching for the wolf. She helps to solve the mystery of, what has been happening on the mountain, that shouldn't be there.

I'm have worked hard and struggled most of my life. I write short stories, novels, poetry and dabble in scripts. They are all grown with families of their own. With the passing of my mother a couple of years ago I'm concentrating on my writing, blogging. Writing is the thing, which kept me sane through all the hassles. Plus the company of the many "Ghosts" who have taken up residence with me. Sometime they want me to write when I want to sleep. Writing also helps keep my mind off of all the pain in my muscles, and joints. When each story ends, I fell as though another child has left home.
