The novel is a western-style adventure story that takes place in Cincinnati in 1916 to 1917. It is about a group of men who are conforming to the changing world around them while battling an old friend that was thought to be dead.

Sean Munyon graduated from Thomas More University in Crestview Hills, Kentucky with a Bachelors' degree in History and Theology. Even before studying history, he has found it interesting his entire life. For many years, he was involved with a Civil War re-enactment group in Cincinnati and traveled to various famous battle locations, including Gettysburg.
