In Making people thrive on marginal resources and social status, Self Help Groups are the revolutionary creations in India. Inspired by the microfinance and micro credit experience in Bnagladesh Grameen Bank, pioneered by Dr. Muhammad Yunus, SHG paves the way for earning deals with both the conceptual and empirical aspects of SHG formation, functioning and generating impacts in terms of higher access to social resources, earn in g much desired empowerment and reengineering the direction and dimensions of new age group dynamics. The empirical research here also reveals the need to change the approach increasing groups by applying cluster analysis tools, rather than relying on community proximity or political compulsions.
