About the Author Samuel "Sammy" Deutscher lives in south Florida and likes to volunteer with the Literacy Coalition in Palm Beach County. Sammy also coaches youth soccer. About the Illustrator Tina C. Wood has been an artist since the age of fourteen in her native country, Slovenia. The artwork for this book was based on family photos and the author's memory.
