Kalant: End of an Era is a work of fiction inspired by Hindu mythology. While it is widely known that Lord Kalki, the final avatar of Lord Vishnu, is destined to end Kalyuga by destroying the evil Kali, we often overlook the role of Lord Shiva-the ultimate destroyer. In this book, the story unfolds through the concept of a powerful avatar of Lord Shiva, who emerges at the end of Kalyuga to fulfill his divine duty of destruction. It explores how this Shiva avatar collaborates with Lord Vishnu, as he has through every yuga and each of Vishnu's incarnations. The narrative delves into untold mythological possibilities, shedding light on Shiva's silent but crucial role in cosmic balance. Kalant brings a fresh perspective to the age-old belief system, weaving a tale of power, purpose, and the ultimate end of an era.

My name is Sandesh Gaonkar, born in a small village in Goa. I completed my graduation from Shree Mallikarjun College of Arts and Commerce, after which I pursued a diploma in multimedia. With a passion for storytelling and visual creativity, I moved to Mumbai to work in the film industry. There, I gained experience as a video editor, working on various freelance projects including advertisements and television shows. After spending a few enriching years in Mumbai, I returned to Goa to explore a new creative path-writing. This journey led to the creation of my debut book, Kalant: End of an Era, marking a significant milestone in my artistic journey.
