Katie took her favorite doll, Dollie to the park for a day of fun. Excitement about the day caused her to forget Dollie in the park over night.

Sandra Kirwan-Mason was a kindergarten and/or first grade teacher for seven years. She says that reading to her students aloud and seeing what story contents engaged them, helped her get ideas for writing this book. She's now a reading teacher.
