Elizabeth is a trophy wife to a mean millionaire during the World War II years. She suffers injuries in a car accident but is nursed to health by a paramedic that she soon falls in love with. The two try and leave the US and escape to Mexico but her rich husband discovers her plans and vows to make her pay for the infidelity.
