'Through the Tree' follows a family with two teenage daughters who, when they were toddlers, discovered a doorway through an ancient tree. The doorway led them to the Land of Marqueria, where magic is real and unicorns exist. Now, as teenagers, they must lead their mother through the Tree, so she can become who she was born to be, before it is too late. From Montana to Marqueria, the family is tested by danger and adversity. Still, they are bound by love, loyalty, and a determination to protect all they hold dear from the encroaching Darkness, which threatens to destroy both worlds.

Shana is a retired RN, who when not writing, can be found romping through the mountains of Montana with her family, cooking new and exciting(?) meals, playing with her grandson and her crazy Mastiff, and caring for her two chronically ill teenage daughters. She's a wife, a mother to four daughters, a mother-in-law to a wonderful son and she is YaYa to her darling grandson.
