Stephen Mark Silvers taught English and trained teachers in Manaus, Brazil, for nearly forty years, first as a USIS English Teaching Fellow at the Manaus Brazilian-American Cultural Institute (ICBEU) and later at the Federal University of Amazonas. He is now retired and lives in Seattle, where he continues to produce EFL/ESL teaching materials.
