Steven Miller has been working in the museum field nearly fifty years. During that time, he has served as a trustee, director, curator, consultant, writer, educator, and lecturer as well as media commentator on various topics relating to museum philosophy and operations. He is affiliated with the Museum Accreditation Program of the American Alliance of Museums. For sixteen years he was an adjunct professor, teaching several courses, with the Seton Hall University MA Program in Museum Professions. He is the author of Deaccessioning Today: Theory and Practice (2018) . He holds a BA in sculpture from Bard College and an International Graduate Certificate from ICCROM (International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property, Rome, Italy).
