A Journey of Faith is a memoir written during a time the author was questioning her faith in Christianity. She began to look to Islam as a new path to strengthen her faith. This new path would create chaos in her marriage. This would lead her to make a choice to either continue with her new life, or leave it behind for the sake of her marriage.

Sunseria Jackson is originally from Florida. She joined the military after graduating from high school. She later settled down in Chicago with her husband, who is originally from there. Sunseria currently works at night as a Certified Nursing Assistant at a Children's hospital. She has two children and is still with her husband of 23 years.
