Having left the public work force in 2007, Susan Howell now finds time to pursue writing. She has authored a children's teaching series, as well as numerous poems, puppet plays, and stories. Susan was born and raised in Waukegan, Illinois. At the age of 18, she moved to Tennessee, where she resides with her husband Larry and their amazing boxer dog, Elizabeth Grace, "Gracie". Susan was in her 20's where her mother passed away at age 48. Her older sister, Cindy, lived to be only 43 years old. Their early departure from this life has helped shape her thinking. Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a possibility but we do have today. Live it now. Live it big. Cherish those whom God has entrusted to your care. Make your moments count. Run your race, finish your course, and fulfill your destiny. Susan's writing comes from life experiences. Much like a parable, her writing describes natural events with spiritual and life lessons to be gleaned. It is her privilege to share her heart with you.

Zusammenfassung
Travel in time along a winding trail that leads a father and his two sons on a heartwarming journey. The Father's Heart is based on a true story of a long overdue fishing trip. Illustrated with photographs taken along the beautiful Watauga River in upper eastern Tennessee, the book portrays the enduring relationship of the father and his sons.Expectations are high as the father packs their fishing gear and the three of them head for the river. Reaching the father's favorite fishing holes, the boys are unsuccessful at landing the big one. Instead, what they capture that day can never be measured. Ageless in its appeal, The Father's Heart would be an ideal gift for fathers, fathers-to-be or sons.
