Samantha's school bestie has vanished. Mick has some time and goes in search
It was deliberate. The car had slammed sideways into my motorbike on a perfectly straight, almost deserted, bit of motorway, on a clear dry summer's evening. After the brief impact, it had eased back into the outside lane and sped away. I had been happily riding along on a warm evening. Then, in an instant, I am sliding along the tarmac at some sixty miles an hour. I can hear my bike tumbling somewhere ahead of me on the road. I slither to a halt; I am aware of my knees and elbows being painful as I hobble to the hard shoulder. I'm living proof that it isn't the falling off that kills you but colliding with the scenery is likely to. This is a page turner of the highest order. I couldn't out it down. Real characters ... even a little bit of sex appeal. A Paying Customer. A romance set against the dark background of crime and corruption of the early seventies.

I was born in London and have lived most of my life in the south of England. I only include that fact to explain the Lundin Axcint I write in.
I had what could be called a portfolio career. However, the diversity of experience is starting to pay off now.
After a lifetime of not knowing what to do, I decided to do something new. I announced I was retiring and Mrs Bun agreed. We spent two years searching before we found L'Olivette, our little paradise in the South of France.
During the long afternoons by the pool that summer, "The Uncovered Policeman." started to take shape. Then in the winter I sat in front of the woodburner and started to type, a novella, A light, cosy mystery romance with a cast of pleasant, happy people, with quirky characters. It was first published on Valentine's Day 2016.
The characters wrote themselves into a series of twelve books, with short stories and other books set in the same world.
Other people have come along and whispered their stories in my ear, while I tried to doze by the pool. To keep them quiet, I wrote their tales down too, hence the number of books listed above.
