Two people have touched my heart with their efforts in the area of Pomeranian breed rescue. First, there is my personal hero, Elaine Harris. Her drive for breed rescue consumes her life. She has formed and maintains her own breed rescue website, www.PomRescue.com, for which she gets no government assistance. At the drop of a hat, she loads her van with crates and blankets to rescue not only Pomeranians, but any small breed in need of help and comfort. These rescued animals often need expensive lifesaving procedures, which she often pays with her own money. Above all, she gives each of these animals love and understanding, while working tirelessly to find them the perfect "forever home" they deserve.
