A good deed can save a man's soul or damn him forever. For Gabe, both were equally true. After a good deed that could have unmade existence, Gabe is literally faced with the choice of eternal life or death.

Lorelai, the spirit of death, offers Gabe the choice of taking back the good deed and facing damnation or becoming immortal. The price for his immortality? Being Death's companion for eternity. His choice produces hellish events.
