Tonya Patrice Jordan, a poet, a surgeon, and a true believer, is the eldest of three sisters. She was born in NJ; she has lived in CT, NC, NY, FL, TX, and GA. Her journey has been one full of amazing travels, laughter, and adventure. Tonya enjoys reading the classics and poetry, but nothing compares to the time she spends with her amazing niece, the energetic ball of fire better known as Zoella La Bella. Tonya first heard the singing in her soul when she read Langston Hughes in college. It was the beginning of her love affair with the music found in poetry. It is what compels her to write. She may be tone-deaf, but she can sing out loud when she puts pen to paper or fingers to keyboard. She has learned words have the power to heal.
