The first publication in the series Advances in Psychological Research in India under the publication programme of the centre of Advanced Study in Psychology, Utkal University, this book documents a cross-section of contemporary psychological research in India. It shows a definite trend in psychological researches towards study of Indian social issues. The book reflects a common concern for social development in all the contributions. The chapters are devoted to some specific aspects of applied social psychology, organizational behaviour, clinical psychology, educational and developmental psychology and comparative psychology with an applied focus.
