This collection of narratives is my way of "unloading" some of this information that seems to run as a "filmstrip" in the background of my head. As I grow older these images don't seem to fade, but become more vivid - not sure why. It is my hope that by putting them in writing some of them will go away, while in other cases, some will last....

William David Penniman is an engineer turned behavioral scientist (retired) who engaged in research promoting "user friendly systems" at a time when online systems were in their infancy. His love of writing, and especially writing short stories, provided him with a low-cost form of therapy to explore the meaning of life's events along the way.
