A carnival prize, a mysterious woman in red, and a secret that could destroy everything Emily has come to love.
Emily thought things were finally a little bit safer in Whisper Pine. The danger was over, the mystery of Daisy's disappearance had been solved, and summer promised peace-along with maybe a little time with Bill. But she knows that to be truly safe, she must continue searching for the truth.
When a smooth-talking outsider arrives at the county fair-and knows details no one should-Emily's world starts to unravel. Abandoned farms, shady deals, hidden documents, and broken trust lead her and Bill into a deeper mystery... one that threatens the future of the entire town.
And behind it all? A red dress, a smile too perfect, and a secret that's been waiting behind hidden doors.
In this sequel to Secrets of Whisper Pine, Emily must choose who to trust, how far to dig, and how to protect those she loves-before the truth destroys everything she loves.

William Medina has been telling stories for 26 years. It all started with telling bedtime stories to his kids, and continued (12+ years) with a cafeteria full of elementary children "Keeping 50 plus kids excited and interested in my story is one of the most difficult but rewarding things I do." He says with a smile. "They always asked for more 'Mr. Medina, just one more!'"
William first dreamed of being an author when he was ten years old. This is his second adventure into writing full-length stories for kids, especially those who know how to enjoy life with wild, joyful imagination. Working with children has brought him so much happiness, and through his stories, he hopes to bring that same happiness to every child who reads them. "I want every kid to feel the wonder I felt as a kid," he says. "Stories can do that?they can take you anywhere."
