Mr. Charles Pierce arrives at the inviting City of Innocence as the caretaker of Crocus Gardens, his parents' estate. He gradually discovers in the underbelly of Innocence a tapestry of carnage amongst his peers. Will he be consumed in the carnivorous horrors, or will he consume?

Schiff grew up in New Jersey, where her parents encouraged her love of reading and writing. She went on to graduate from the College of New Jersey with a degree in English Literature to continue to write books, and now works at ShopRite.
