Layla, once a girl in Syria shaped by political forces and loss, now lives near the Mediterranean, spending her days in the quiet routines of a recreation center by the shore. Among strangers and shared meals, memories surface of childhood, love, loss, and a life once carried across borders. Moving between past and present, Layla listens as the sea speaks of longing, survival, and the pull of unfinished dreams. My Sea Is Calling Me is a reflective, intimate novel about displacement, memory, and the quiet force of belonging.
