My name is Alan and I am long time adventurer and first-time author. I have lived a full and interesting life and I wrote this book to share my journey with you. From humble beginnings in Blackpool in the 40s through to present day. I've experienced a range of achievements both professional and personal, including designing and making lights for the world-famous Blackpool Illuminations, and mountaineering, taking on challenges like Mont Blanc at age 69. I hope you find my journey interesting, there are ups and downs throughout, with success and tragedy in equal measure, with a bit of humour thrown in for good measure.
