Was he even real? Or was he just another New York illusion?
Rowan Montauban works at one of the most prestigious modeling agencies in Manhattan. To the rest of the office, she's just the quiet proofing chick who keeps her head down. Rowan is perfectly fine with that?most of the models are stuck-up, superficial narcissists anyway.
Except for Sebastian "Baz" St. Gallay.
Baz is a literal god among mere men, a top-tier supermodel who stops traffic just by walking down Broadway. But Rowan isn't naive. She knows a guy like him doesn't look at a girl like her. More importantly, as an Orisha Succubus witch, the absolute last thing she needs is to get tangled up with a fragile human?no matter how drop-dead gorgeous he is. So, she locks her feelings down, content to keep Baz strictly in the friend zone despite being head over heels in love with him.
But Rowan has it all wrong. Baz isn't human. And he definitely doesn't want to be just friends.
From the exact moment Baz met Rowan at a crowded gamer party, it was a wrap. The second their eyes locked, her name was factually, permanently branded onto his twelve-hundred-year-old dead heart. He has spent over a millennium searching the shadows of the world for his true mate, and now that he's found her, he's playing for keeps.
Rowan thinks she's protecting him from her magical nature, but she's about to find out that her "human" crush is the ultimate predator?and he's ready to claim his queen.
