Melinda for as long as she could remember everyone has told her no when it came to humans. Whether by was his mom, dad or even her cousin. Being without humans in one's life was made to be this peaceful and quiet existence by all who made to advise her on her future queenhood. She has never been one to listen to rules though.
So it didn't come as a surprise when her mate became the human that everyone kept on warning her from.
