When We Swung from Church Bells is a collection of essays that explore what it means to look at and understand the world through the lens of story. It is also a book that shows how stories connect us to other people, sometimes people we don't think we have anything in common with. Finally, it is a book that subtly proclaims story-more than belief-as a key ingredient for shaping and sustaining our faith.

Callie Rebekah Feyen lives in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and is an adjunct professor of English composition, creative writing, and children's literature at Washtenaw Community College. When We Swung from Church Bells is her third book.
