How many untold stories does the mysterious land of Tibet truly conceal? Qin Mai, an accomplished and erudite archaeologist, encounters the beautiful and wealthy Chinese-American girl Tang Li under seemingly fortuitous circumstances, only to be drawn into a bizarre case that has remained unsolved for twenty-five years. The sole survivor from that era attacks Qin and Tang, seeking a mysterious thangka divided into three fragments. Tang Li's father vanished mysteriously twenty-five years prior, while Qin Mai's closest friend, Tie Xin, lost his father after a fateful expedition to Tibet that same year.
