Collette Carlson, civilian attorney and part-time military flight nurse, is no stranger to taking a human life even before her deployment to the Persian Gulf.

Leaving her husband and son behind, Collette serves her country during Operation Desert Storm near the borders of Iraq and Kuwait. There, she befriends Lieutenant Colonel Christopher Masters, a Marine intelligence officer who discovers her extraordinary talents.

Collette is an expert sharpshooter, cunning and dextrous. Meanwhile, she is intrigued by Chris' mysterious and alluring manner. Joining a clandestine organization, she must juggle her career and increasingly unstable husband with her deadly underground assignments.

As a conspiracy unfolds and players drop from the board one by one, she cannot help but wonder: will she be next?
