Stephen Davis, Revolutionary War veteran sharpshooter, follows Anna, the girl he's slighted, into the Kentucky mountains to a lost creek village. He courts, wins her, and the two build their home and stand against merciless outlaws. But Stephen's past, eradicating part of a sophisticated ring of thieves, follows him. He is unable to escape the devious criminal mastermind determined to destroy him, and is almost killed.
