In our pain and disappointment, we try to become the God we wish He would be.

If God is good, why does pain exist? Why do faithful people suffer?

And why does trusting Him sometimes feel harder than walking away?

Readers of Better God are invited into the uncomfortable space where joy and peace collide with grief and doubt-the space between belief and disappointment. When we experience unanswered prayers, loss, and injustice, we tend to quietly question God's goodness. When life doesn't make sense, we often assume that we could do a better job at managing the world. This book is for the doubter, the wounded believer, and anyone who has ever wondered whether God could truly be good in a world full of suffering.

Autorentext

Cheryl Edmondson is a single mom to two young men. She is a Christian who has strayed and a believer who has had her fair share of doubts and disappointments. Through personal experience and spiritual reflection, she writes honestly about doubt, control, and the difficulty of trusting God when He doesn't seem to be present. She was born and raised in West Texas and is passionate about sharing her journey with others who love God but struggle to understand Him. She addresses the Scriptures that are hard to read and examines how suffering challenges our beliefs and creates in us a desire to take control.
