Davey Anderson's short play Snuff was first performed at the Arches Theatre, Glasgow, in April 2005. The production then transferred to the Traverse Theatre, Edinburgh, for the 2005 Festival Fringe, and toured the UK in 2006 in a co-production with the National Theatre of Scotland.

Davey Anderson comes from Glasgow. His work as playwright/director includes Snuff (Arches Theatre, as winner of the Arches Award for Stage Directors, runner up Meyer-Whitworth Award); Rupture (National Theatre of Scotland and Traverse Theatre) and Blackout (National Theatre New Connections). His other plays include Wired (Òran Mór, nominated Best Play, Critics' Awards for Theatre in Scotland); Liar (TAG Theatre Company and Sounds of Progress, Best Show for Children and Young People, Critics' Awards for Theatre in Scotland); Clutter Keeps Company (Birds of Paradise) and Playback (Ankur Theatre Productions).
Adaptations include Zorro (Visible Fictions and Traverse Theatre). Co-writing/directing credits include Mixter Maxter (National Theatre of Scotland and St Magnus Festival, Orkney). Other directing credits include Rocketville (Òran Mór). As Associate Director: Home (National Theatre of Scotland) and Architecting (The TEAM and National Theatre of Scotland).
