Donald Bryan Zimmerman is a retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel with more than three decades of service in combat operations, strategic planning, and senior leadership at the Department of the Army. Am Airborne Infantry Officer and aviator, he served in high-responsibility operational and policy roles, including assignments in the Army Operations Center during periods of hostile action.Following his Pentagon service, Zimmerman spent more than a decade shaping young leaders as a Senior Army Instructor and later Assistant Director of Army Instruction for one of the nations largest Junior Reserve Officers Training (JROTC) programs. He oversaw instructors and complex administrative and logistical operations while working closley with school systems and govening boards to ensure programs met military standards and community needs.Outside of uniformed service, Zimmerman founded and led a court-recognized alcohol and drug education center, collaborating with federal, state, and local agencies on substance abuse education, anger management/domestic abuse rehabilitation programs. his background also includes experience in aviation, congressional operations, counseling, and nonprofit leadership supporting veterans and justice initiatives.Drawing of firsthand experience with military operations, government institutions, and the moral gray zones of power, corruption, and loyalty, Zimmerman brings authenticity and authority to his fiction.
