A Starship on a exploratory mission is forced to turn around in a worm hole. They were to return to the launch base because conditions among the crew met the return criteria of the Ops Order. Enroute just a few days less than three months, they knew there would be disciplinary action taken but there was little choice, the crew was divided and some would only speak about things related to their jobs. A chilly atmosphere would be difficult to operate in on these long missions. When they got back they found nothing remained the same, the entire earth was different, the mediterranean Basin they launched from was filled with water. The ships computer told them 6 1/2 million years had passed, exploration teams were chosen and sent out to determine what was happening. The commander said the only way that could happen was if they had been sent out in a one-way wormhole and operations never made that kind of mistake. They knew that would separate time from space. It had never been done but the scientists said everything became unpredictable. They couldn't re-enter the worm hole it was damaged, they were trapped in Eze, France using their cloaking software to conceal the starship. They felt whatever the case their home base was gone. But commander would take his recorder, Eva, and charter a boat to make sure. Watch the ultra-sophisticated people from the dim past become regular people again, find love and have familoes and negotiate regular jobs.
