Enter a world of riddles and enchantments, cunning tricksters and dangerous bargains, shapeshifters, witches, trolls and things that wait in the dark.

In Lost & Found, novelist Elizabeth Garner brings the strange and seductive world of traditional folklore vividly to life across fifteen stories. From 'The Black Bull's Bride' and 'Stealing the Moon' to 'The Riddles of the Crossroads', these are tales of love and betrayal, courage and trickery, luck, loss and transformation.

Ancient in origin yet alive to the present, these stories remind us why folk tales have survived for generations, changing with every teller while speaking to something enduringly human.

Illustrated throughout with Phoebe Connolly's exquisite wood engravings, Lost & Found is a beautifully crafted collection for readers of Angela Carter, and anyone who has ever been enchanted, unsettled or transported by an old story told anew.
