Now as Clay eagerly anticipates Mary Ann's return in a couple of weeks stepping down from that same road with a chosen dress and smile, he hadn't seen since the day she said yes and peace settled deep in her chest. He pictured taking her hand again feeling that spark of certainty that only true love carries. Yes, one could say Clay's smile was a small but real one that only could be seen with a loving heart. Their love for one another was built on faith that doesn't break from distance. It continues to grow with each passing day. it steadies. It became stronger within the waiting. For this was their moment in time to trust their moment to let God guide those missing pieces of their hearts into place. When Mary Ann finally came home few months later; not only did their life's have a new beginning as man and wife. Their life wouldn't just continue its blooming as their time slowly faded; like unto the sweet aroma that fielded the Eastern winds as it softly swept across those wild morning glories. Their life became a life they had gravely prayed for together, fulfilling their every dream as though their hearts that once beat as one faded into eternal sleep.
