Gina L. Dartt, born and raised in the Maritimes, is the author of Unexpected Sparks and Unexpected Ties, romantic mysteries that take place in her home town of Truro, Nova Scotia, published in 2002. She's also been known to write a Trek fanfic or two, which can be found on her Novel Expectations website. Her new book, Cross Purposes, delves into the history of the Acadians in Nova Scotia, as new characters, fantasy author Lana Mills, and RCMP officer, Emily Stone, search for a golden cross, assisted by American Michelle Devereaux who may or may not have her own agenda when it comes to both the treasure and Lana, much to Emily's dismay.
