Author and illustrator Jacqui Taylor has designed The Queen of Green for children, as well as all those involved with children, to teach them what it means to 'go green' and how they can assist in taking better care of planet earth. Through the medium of contemporary verses, marvellous illustrations, tips and facts, she goes straight to the heart of the matter - we need to love the earth. She wants children to realise that they can be a part of the solution, rather than the problem, and have fun at the same time. Concepts such as 'global warming' and 'climate change' are explained in a way that children will understand. It's a must for every child; their parents, grandparents, teachers and child carers might discover that they too can learn something new!

Autorentext

Jacqui Taylor wanted to become an artist from a very early age. She worked for a number of years as an illustrator for advertising agencies in London and in Zimbabwe. While living in Hong Kong, she created A Hong Kong ABC Book for her son Christopher and this eventually led to the popular An African ABC and A Baobab is Big, both published by Struik Lifestyle. All Jacqui's verses are 'tried and tested' on children. She currently runs her own design company, Fraser Design, and teaches art in Harare, Zimbabwe.
