James Bennett is a British author of fantasy and horror. His bibliography includes the Ben Garston Novels, a contemporary fantasy series (Orbit Books, 2016-19). The first volume, Chasing Embers, was shortlisted for Best Newcomer at the British Fantasy Awards 2017. His short fiction has appeared in several anthologies and magazines, including The Dark magazine. In 2022, he won the British Fantasy Award for Best Short Fiction. James lives in Spain, where he's working on a new dark fantasy novel.
