Jerry Wexler is a retired teacher who met a lovely lady with seven cats. Never being a cat lover, Jerry was surprised how each kitty had a special personality and he wanted to place them in a story for everyone to enjoy.
There is a real Mama Dewey and she and her babies are in the story.
Jerry lives in Oxford, Mississippi with his special black cat named Spooky.
