This book provides an accessible exploration of Social Constructionist philosophy, and a user-friendly guide to the practice of InterActional Coaching. It also introduces Reflective and Deliberate Practice methodologies, guiding readers on how to grow themselves as coaches and achieve mastery within the professional coaching landscape.

The authors offer developmental opportunities and practice options for coaches that are mindful of the diversity of clients' experiences, contexts, and desired outcomes and benefits. They offer insights into the application of InterActional coaching in a variety of coaching niches and contexts, including leadership, executive, and life coaching. A chapter is also devoted to how coaches aspiring or needing to secure coaching accreditation can navigate the application and renewal processes with accreditation agencies such as the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC). Readers can actively engage with practical exercises, case studies, and reflective activities to connect the abstract worlds of philosophy, epistemology and methodology with the concrete worlds of everyday coaching practice. Attention is given to continuous professional and personal development (CPPD) in general, as well as learning about InterActional coaching. The compatibility of Social Constructionist InterActional coaching with mainstream coaching accreditation agencies' requirements is made transparent and hence navigable.

This book is a must have for coaches seeking an ethical, inclusive coaching approach that focuses on collaboration and interaction and responds to the worlds that coaching clients navigate in their daily lives. It invites a diverse audience including coaches, allied professionals, academics and researchers to find their place and contribute to the evolving professional coaching landscape.

Svea van der Hoorn began drawing on Social Constructionism in 1986 during the socio-political-economic upheaval of South Africa's transformation. It enabled her to engage in both respecting resourcefulness in the face of hardship, as well the learning and growth that moves beyond stuckness towards hoped-for lives. Her professional work draws on living systems thinking and the Solution-focused Brief approach. Her Doctoral degree, authorship, and educator work pursue philosophy, epistemology and methodology - not as an abstraction, but to steward civil society by developing practices embedded in ethicality and creativity for and with leaders, coaches, and the people they serve.

Elfie J. Czerny works at the intersection of coaching, leadership development, and team development. Her focus is on how useful change becomes visible in conversations, drawing on the Solution Focused approach and Microanalysis of face-to-face dialogue. She co-developed the BEST©Team approach and is Programme Director of the CAS Lösungsfokus in Organisationen at the Hochschule Luzern. She researches moment-by-moment interaction in leadership and coaching conversations and has Solution Focused Practice and InterActional perspectives on conversations. She is interested in creating spaces where people can think, learn, and develop together.

Dominik Godat specialises in leadership development, organisational development, and the design of Solution Focused processes in complex environments. His work centres on how conversations shape collaboration and outcomes, integrating the Solution Focused approach with Microanalysis of face-to-face interaction. He co-developed the BEST©Team approach, co-leads the CAS Lösungsfokus in Organisationen, and is Programme Chair of the CAS Leadership at the Hochschule Luzern. With Elfie J. Czerny, he researches how interaction opens new possibilities in leadership conversations and co-edits the magazine Persönlichkeit!. He is author of Lösungen auf der Spur.
