She has received many accolades, including two Stonewall Honors, two National Jewish Book Awards, and two Sydney Taylor Book Awards. She lives in Massachusetts with her spouse and their cat, Mitzi.
Zara González Hoang is a children's author and illustrator. She is the creator of the picture book A New Kind of Wild, and the illustrator of several picture books, including Pa, Me and our Sidewalk Pantry; Measuring a Year: A Rosh Hashanah Story; and Mi Casa is My Home. She lives outside of Washington, DC with her family.
