Carol Miller, boutique owner and president of the homeowner's association, was proud of her neighborhood. And for good reason. What had once been a block of older, and in many cases run-down, houses (some of which had fallen into foreclosure) was now the crown jewel of town.

"Creekside will become a one-hundred-percent all-in community. No outsiders. Everyone friendly and welcomed and welcoming." -- Carol

"It figures, doesn't it, that you and I would end up in the one neighborhood where someone is actively trying to interfere in my life."--Lydia

She was failing miserably as the lights committee person, miserably! Ask Mrs. Perkins to take in her Mary statue? How in the world could she do that? How in the world could she do any of it?--Janice

Autorentext

Born and raised in Minnesota, Lisa Maddock has enjoyed creative writing for as long as she can remember. Writing a children's book seemed a natural thing to do, as her young daughter Allison grew to love books more and more. Reading countless middle-grade stories with Allison, combined with watching antics of family guinea pigs, Maggie and Peanut, became the inspiration for her first book, "A Tale of Two Guinea Pigs", starring the squeaky, spunky stars, Teddy and Pip.

There are now three Teddy and Pip stories. Check out The Bridezilla Who Stole Christmas and The Trouble With Max.

Taking a detour from guinea pig antics, Lisa has recently completed a teen novel - for 12 to 18 year old girls - called Silver Linings.

Lisa Maddock lives in Shakopee, Minnesota, which is a suburb of Minneapolis, with husband, Bill, and daughter Allison, who is now 14.
