The Agency ? otherwise known as the Department of Covert Operations ? is a sophisticated galaxy-wide organization made up of unsophisticated operatives. Take John Steel, for instance. Or is it Abner Jenkins? Is he actually an operative of the Agency, or is he carrying out a personal vendetta?

Consider John Steel's ship, The Darling Buds of May, a sleek stealth fighter whose avatar is a fashion conscious black woman with a predilection for tall German luxury liners. Or is Darling more than she appears? And what about Marella Juniper Stone? Is she merely a clerk in an intergalactic real estate company, or is she a sleeper agent? Is she in a hostage situation or a training scenario?

The galaxy is either on the verge of collapse or on the cusp of a universe shaking transformation. Either way, it's up to the Operatives of the Agency to figure out which it is and then do something about it.
