The past never stays buried. The war isn't over yet.
Grey Soleis survived twenty years of war only to discover that peace may demand more of him than battle ever did.
When Veit Shorheimer?a former comrade who remembers exactly what Grey became during the war?arrives on Telam with an Ascendancy fleet, old loyalties fracture. Grey must defend his home without becoming the monster his enemies already believe him to be.
But the threat reaches far beyond Telam.
Lady Sayuri Iekami, an inexperienced Knight of the Final Resolution, becomes trapped between Grey, the Ascendancy, and forces she barely understands. All she wants is to return home. Instead, she finds herself drawn into a conflict involving ancient mysteries, impossible machines, and a war everyone insists is already over.
Alora Soleis faces a different battlefield. With her family threatened and the Ascendancy tightening its grip, she must decide how much obedience peace is worth?and what she is willing to risk to protect the people she loves.
Grey once ended a war by becoming something terrible. Now someone intends to prove he never changed.
Revenant's War is the second novel in the Stars Reach series, an epic science-fiction saga of war, political intrigue, family, and the terrible cost of power.
