I originally wrote this before the Ukraine War. Zhenya is a veteran of the Soviet Afghan War in the 1980's . He is retired, lives with his long suffering wife, daughter son in law and nine year grandson. He thinks he saving Russia, one bottle of vodka at a time. He gets himself into all sorts of insane situations.

My wife suffers from night blindness so I had to drive her to any nighttime meetings of her writers groups. I should have realized it would only be a matter of time before I got bit by the writing bug.
I was born in Brooklyn New York My wife is from Boston Massachusetts. We have a mixed marriage. She's a Red Sox fan and I'm a Met Fan. We've been married for over twenty five years so I guess I'm doing something right.
We live in Southern Arizona with two very spoiled feline children.
