Twenty years ago a killer with a unique and horrific signature terrorized the city. As it became clear the killer's cooling off periods between murders halved each time, the police desperately tried to catch him before he might take another innocent life. After eight murders he stopped. Because he died, or was incarcerated for another offense, or moved away, or ...? Serial killers do not stop of their own volition. Correct?

Michael Quinlan wrote "The Osiris Numbers" later renamed "Star Bollocks." The story paints the 3 monotheistic religions in poor light, and it was suggested he use a pseudonym to avoid a Fatwa, the Inquisition and/or Mossad. Not necessarily in that order. So he does not get to tell people he has written additional works. "Osiris" was written almost 30 years ago. With its siblings coming in roughly 4 year intervals. He is not quick about it,
