Fourteen-year-old Angela Garcia has just been kidnapped after playing with a suspicious game app that she just downloaded. She is locked away far from any possibility of being found with a group of fellow kidnapped teens, and now she and her new friends must try to figure out what their captor's sinister plan is for them. For some, the ordeal will be worse than death, and for others, death is only around the corner or right beside them.

In the meantime, Angela must figure out a way out for her new friends, who have all but given up on escape. However, clues from her new friends and new details may only heighten the suspense and confusion surrounding them. As they will quickly find out when the situation is revealed to all, things and people are not what they seem, and death is in plain view right amongst them.

Angela's name in old Greek stories and myths means "messenger"; whether she is the messenger or the catalyst of the message, only events can tell. Then, from a religious context, Angela means "messenger of God," and maybe God uses evil for good. However, God may not seem much help to anyone, and this clue could only complicate the many questions plaguing everyone. Sometimes bad things just happen to good people, sometimes good people turn bad, and sometimes evil just finds a way to mess with life.
