Andy Parker had always loved noisy Moscow with its jittery, jolly jungle. It was a place where he felt confident.
He was a tactless, giving, whiskey drinker with greasy warts and spiky elbows. His friends saw him as a dripping, decaying do gooder. Once, he had even jumped into a river and saved a red toddler. That's the sort of man he was.
