This American feral child story is a folk tale. During the settlement of the American West, a young boy falls from a wagon and is swept away in a flood. He is rescued and raised by beavers. He learns their ways, but his human nature can't be overcome and he becomes their leader and protector, eventually saving not only the saving the beaver colony, but several American settlers as well. He lives in both worlds, using his skills to protect and advance them both
