Finally, Maya has almost succeeded in reuniting all of her friends since they got separated a few months ago. Even better, she's been reunited with her long-long brother, who was previously presumed dead. Yet no matter how much their group runs or hides, the Paum agents are constantly attacking, trying to capture and separate them again.

In a similar boat, Chia is doing her best to live a normal life in the Nimble Orphanage while trying to recover the missing memories after she escaped the Home of Unfortunates. But her curiosity leads to the discovery of something even more sinister: Project 1955.

After the friends reunite, they embark on a journey to unveil the century-old science experiment that ties them together deeper than they ever thought possible. Because not only does the Project give them Shaping abilities beyond anything thought possible, but it ties the orphans' lineages back through generations of lies, betrayals, and the love of family.

Maya, Talia, Marine, and Chia can feel the clock ticking as they work through the dark details of the Project, all while continuing to evade the increasingly aggressive Paum agents. Except this time, the agents aren't there to simply separate them again.
